SF man sentenced to prison for illegal sex with teenager

(BCN) A 37-year-old San Francisco man was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading uncontested to unlawful sex with a 16-year-old girl and witnessing deterrence after he tried to flee with her to Europe after his initial arrest last year, San Mateo County prosecutors said Friday. Dylan Raymos was originally arrested on June 15, 2021 by Redwood City police and was ordered by a judge not to have contact with the teenager, according to the county prosecutor’s office.
After posting $25,000 bail to be released from police custody, Raymos picked up the teenager from her home on July 7 and they drove to San Francisco International Airport with tickets to Amsterdam and were in the plane when U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials learned he had a non-contact order for the teenager and was fleeing the country, prosecutors said. The teenager admitted to having an email correspondence with Raymos, who said he planned to marry her, according to the district attorney’s office.
Last month Raymos did not contest the two felony charges and after a sentencing hearing on Thursday where the teenager’s parents and sister spoke, he was given a four-year jail term with hundreds of days of credit for time already spent in custody, prosecutors said. . He was also ordered not to contact the teenager for 10 years. Raymos’ defense attorney was not immediately available to comment on the case.
