Marathi Toastmasters celebrates its first anniversary
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Marathi Toastmasters Club, made up of expatriates from the Indian state of Maharashtra, recently celebrated its first anniversary. The occasion was graced by Toastmaster International President Margaret Page. The meeting was called by Sergeant-at-Arms Madhuri Borgave. Club president Chandrashekhar Angadi opened the meeting.
Toastmaster of the day Sujata Wakhare spoke on the topic “The Moon” and moderated an interactive session. Founding President Abhijit Kuwalekar led the induction ceremony for the new members.
Division B Director Anita Samanta congratulated the Executive Committee on receiving the Smedley Prize. Zone 8 manager Anjali Pimple also encouraged members to enter the next competition. Ravikeerti Patil and Manjiri Dahale delivered the project speeches, which were reviewed by Priya Shembhekar and Pimple.
Other key roles were performed by Ravi Kumar (General Evaluator), Sujit Khanloskar (Timer), Manisha Deshpande (Grammar), Vaishnavi Angadi (Listener) and Ajaya Rogiye (Quotation Master). The table top session was led by Sameer Karmarkar.
