VICTOR, NY (PRWEB)

REDCOM Laboratories is proud to announce a major new release from Sigma, version 3.1. In addition to UX enhancements and conferencing enhancements, Sigma 3.1 includes two major new features: the REDCOM C2 Console application and support for TSM newsgroups.

REDCOM Sigma is a complete command and control software solution with voice, video, chat and conferencing. REDCOM Sigma® increases warfighter operational flexibility while reducing size, weight and power (SWaP) requirements at the tactical periphery. In 2020, the US Army chose REDCOM Sigma® as the C2 platform for its modernization programs because it is standards-based, transport-agnostic, and interoperable with legacy systems. REDCOM Sigma allows warfighters to configure, manage and control their C2 communication capabilities – including VoIP, video, chat and radio interoperability – directly through an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. Sigma is already deployed in multiple programs within the US Army and the US Air Force.

New in Sigma 3.1 is the REDCOM C2 console, which provides a single window to monitor and control all communications, including IP and RF terminals. The REDCOM C2 console can work with any accessible Sigma® endpoint, such as a SIP device, an analog phone via a SIP trunk, or a radio voice network.

The C2 console’s intuitive user interface requires very little training, allowing new users to get up to speed in minutes. The operator can listen to any conversation on multiple devices and chat groups, and can also create patches on the fly simply by dragging and dropping these connections together.

New support for TSM Newsgroups allows Sigma to interact with all newsgroups on a TSM Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET). TSM radio talkgroups can be linked to other TSM talkgroups, radio networks, or IP endpoints.

Along with the release of Sigma 3.1, REDCOM presents a new version of Secure Client for Windows with major chat enhancements for the tactical area. The updated secure client supports unified chat with XMPP and IRC protocols, so users no longer need to switch between chat clients. Chat panels can also be resized and rearranged to suit the needs of each individual user; this will increase operational tempo while reducing cognitive overload. The need for email is reduced as attachments can be sent via chat and urgent chats can be flagged for attention.

REDCOM will host a live webinar on June 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. EST to showcase new features in Sigma 3.1. Please visit http://www.redcom.com/c2comms-webinar to register.

REDCOM Sigma 3.1 and REDCOM Secure Client 5.2.12 for Windows are available immediately. Please contact a REDCOM Solutions Advisor for details.
