FBI: Scene cleaned, no threat to the public; Speaking Rock Entertainment Center evacuated after bomb threat
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Speaking Rock Entertainment Center was evacuated Sunday evening after a bomb threat.
The El Paso FBI said the stage had been cleaned up and there was no threat to the public and that the entertainment center was scheduled to reopen on Sunday evening.
Speaking Rock enthusiasts were escorted out of the facility and could be seen waiting outside across the street as law enforcement scrambled to clear the premises.
A woman who was evacuated had just arrived at the entertainment center to pick up her mother.
“I was so scared for my mom because she was there and we didn’t know exactly what was going on. We just saw a bunch of people come out and the good thing is no one was stepped on or anything like that… ”

Another man who was also evacuated said he came to the entertainment center several times and had just arrived as well.
“The security personnel started escorting everyone to the exit where the church is, so we just dropped him off until the exit,” said El Pasoan, Eddie Castro.
The FBI El Paso along with the Ysleta Del Sur Police Department and the El Paso Police Department responded and cleaned up the scene.
FBI El Paso says this is still an active investigation and will provide more details later.
