Christ Church Achieves Greatness at Public Speaking Festival
The public speaking team from Christ Church Preparatory School and College excelled at the Public Speaking Festival hosted by Kings College on February 16.
The team was made up of Grade 12 students who chose “Where’s Normal” as their favorite topic.
Dawn Schmitz, the school’s marketing manager, said team president Makungu Chabalala gave the keynote address.
“The judge commended Makungu for his excellent contact with the public from the start and said he was an excellent president who had a natural talent for public speaking.” Schmitz added that Jennifer Baillie was the second of four speakers, and she was praised by the judge for her excellent rapport with the audience.
“The third speaker was Caleb Pillay who was described as a dynamic speaker, and the last speaker was Kamogelo Khumalo who was described as having a great personality and entertaining his audience.”
