the CAD / BIM Support Coordinator is responsible for ” First line “ technical and user support with the CAD / BIM system. He or she is a fully competent professional who works under minimal supervision to perform various tasks associated with CAD / BIM management.
The main responsibilities include: installs and maintains CAD / BIM programs and other production software, resolves end-user issues, works with the design technology manager to develop and update company CAD / BIM standards, supports productivity tools (shortcut functions, custom toolbars, etc.) and supports design / production staff in the use of third-party applications with CAD / BIM programs. Assist with a tutorial on how to use our models and tools, Assist with software, plug-ins and testing and the implementation of new workflows. Assist with design technology training efforts, such as onboarding new hires regarding studio specific production / design standards. Assists the IT department with hardware / software deployments and other tasks as required.

Education and / or experience
Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field, or 2 to 4 years of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 2-4 years of experience in applying CAD / BIM technology to architecture.
Other skills and abilities
- Must have knowledge of custom family creation
- Ability to break down technical concepts and communicate fundamentals to staff
- Ability to manage priorities with minimal guidance
Certificates, licenses, registrations
Architect’s permit preferred but not required.
